APPLE IPHONE 6 PLUS
The iPhone 6 comes in two sizes: the
4.7 inch standard, or this whopping 5.5 inch “Plus” model.
A larger body means longer battery life, it’s
impressively thin and the front-facing camera is now in HD.
OLYMPUS STYLUS SH-1
A three-inch touchscreen, built-in Wi-Fi and 24x optical zoom.
The photo transfer via the free iPad app is apparently breeze.
TV AT YOUR FINGER TIPS:
ROKU STREAMING STICK
This thumb-sized drive docks into the back of your TV and
connects you to a world of on-demand content: transforming a
“dumb” telly into a smart one (providing you have broadband Wi-Fi
and a spare HDMI port).
APPLE APP OF THE MONTH
TYPE AWAY!: SWIFTKEY KEYBOARD
iPhone and iPad users now have the option of downloading
keyboards made by third-party companies. A favourite is Switfkey,
which draws upon its own user-generated dictionary and scans
the most common phrases in your mail inbox to provide a
personalised service. It increases typing speed significantly.
HENRY HOOVER MEETS ROBOCOP:
IROBOT ROOMBA 880
The Roomba 880 is more like Robocop: an entirely autonomous
robot, on a mission to terminate cat hair from the carpet.
It’s smart enough to return to its docking station when it needs a
charge and aware enough not to fall down the stairs.
WIRELESS WORKOUTS:
PLANTRONICS BACKBEAT FIT HEADPHONES
The Backbeat FIT in-ear headphones are designed
specifically for sports: covered in a nanocoating to repel
sweat and rain, and entirely wireless (they connect to your smartphone
via Bluetooth, so you can’t accidentally cut off your music with
an athletic thrust of your arm). They take calls too, the controls are
located on the earpieces.
TEFAL FREEMOVE IRON
This latest range from Tefal, which, being both cordless
and colourful, does its bit to bring ironing into the 21st century.
