WEIRD THINGS THAT PEOPLE EAT
Added on: 23rd Dec 2014
KANGAROO
This hopping marsupial is probably one of the last things
you’d consider having for a meal. In Australia though,
it’s considered a delicacy.
COW TONGUE
Certain parts of the globe don’t let parts of the cow go
to waste and this is one of the results. If you’ve ever tried
imagining kissing a cow, you can consider it done once
you’ve had a taste of this.
COW LUNG
Keeping up with not wasting any part of a cow, here’s
another part that gets eaten.
KAVA
This is made from the root of the kava plant. It gets dried,
pounded into powder, placed in a cheesecloth, and then mixed
with water in traditional kava bowls. It numbs the tongue
and the stomach. It also helps you relax and gives you a
good night’s sleep.
DEEP FRIED MARS BARS
It’s a heart attack just waiting to happen.
HEAD CHEESE
This isn’t actually a kind of cheese in any way. It’s made
by skinning a cow’s, sheep’s or pig’s head and taking out
every organ.
FROG SASHIMI
Sashimi is chilled seafood that’s been chopped up and served
raw. Apparently, however, people use the term seafood loosely.
BLOOD PUDDING
Also known as black pudding, it’s made up of cooked blood
and fillers such as fat, grain or potatoes.
ESKIMO ICE CREAM
Akutaq, which is what the locals call Eskimo ice cream,
is not the ice cream you’re used to as it’s made mostly of
deer fat.
