Elevators in the Taipei Tower in Taiwan shuttle people up and
down at a speed of 60km/h
FASTEST PRODUCTION CAR
The Hennessey Venom GT hit 270.49mph at the Kennedy Space Centre
on February 14th 2014, thus becoming the fastest production car in
the world by beating the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport's previous record
of 269.86 mph.
FASTEST NON PRODUCTION CAR
The thrust SSC broke the record on 4th October 1983 at Black
Rock Desert in Nevada, with a top speed of 633mph
FASTEST MANNED PLANE
The Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird holds the official Air Speed Record
for a manned air breathing jet aircraft with a speed of 3,530 km/h
(2,193 mph). It was capable of taking off and landing unassisted
on conventional runways.

In terms of wind speed a tornado near Oklahoma City reached
nearly 300mph.
