My nephew was in the bathroom shaving

when the phone rang,

so his four-year-old daughter,

Amanda, answered.

It was her father’s sergeant.

Hearing a child’s voice,

the sergeant said,

“Hello. I’m your dad’s boss.

May I speak to him?”

Amanda turned toward the


bathroom and shouted,

“Dad, the president’s on the phone.”
