PLACES THAT WONT BREAK YOUR BUDGET
Added on: 11th Nov 2015
BELGRADE, SERBIA
Following the wars of the 1990s, Belgrade is struggling to attract
tourists, but if you do end up visiting, your wallet will thank you.
MANILA, PHILIPPINES
Becoming popular among tourists visiting South Asia, Manilla is a
sprawling metropolis with a lot going on that will likely fit
right into your budget.
KRAKOW, POLAND
Much cheaper than other nearby cities like Berlin and Prague,
Krakow is definitely worth a visit.
YANGON, BURMA/MYANMAR
Formerly known as Rangoon, it is the largest city in Burma/Myanmar.
After the tourism boycott was lifted in 2012 following government
reforms, things began to change. Although there isn’t much tourist
infrastructure yet, that’s just part of the adventure right?
MUMBAI, INDIA
Probably a bit overwhelming as far as cities are concerned, if you
visit India you should spend at least a few days here to experience it.
Decent hotels are pretty cheap.
JAKARTA, INDONESIA
Crowded and sprawling, most people only end up staying in Jakarta
for a few hours on a layover but if you enjoy shopping and
nightlife, then this place is for you.
COLOMBO, SRI LANKA
Although it’s the capital city, it ranks poorly in the things-to-do-or-see
department. For the purposes of this list, however, we’ll say that the
capital is representative of the whole country. Basically
everything here is affordable.
SOFIA, BULGARIA
Although it isn’t one of Europe’s most obvious destinations,
even backpackers can afford some luxury here.
CAIRO, EGYPT
Cairo is one of the cities where people with money can splurge but
people on a budget can get more than they need.
