RESOM OCEAN CASTLE, CHUNGCHEONGNAM-DO,

Located in the South Chungcheong Province in the west of the
country, the Resom Ocean Castle is one of several renowned South
Korean water parks. Surrounded by pine trees and sandy beaches,
the park also features an outdoor spa and a sea water sauna.
WATER COUNTRY USA, WILLIAMSBURG, VIRGINIA, USA

Owned by SeaWorld Entertainment, a division of Blackstone Group,
the Water Country USA is the Mid-Atlantic’s largest water park. With a
wide range of exciting rides including the Jet Scream, Meltdown and
Colossal Curl, the park is a major tourist attraction in the
York County, Virginia.
PLAYA MAYA WATER PARK, WUHUN, CHINA
(740,000 VISITORS ANNUALLY)
Occupying an area of 160,000 square metres (1.7 million square feet),
the Playa Maya Water Park in Wuhun, Hubei Province, attracts about
10,000 visitors a day in the peak summer season. Despite the park´s
vast area and more than 40 rides, the place often gets
uncomfortably crowded.
XOCOMIL, SAN MARTÍN ZAPOTITLÁN, GUATEMALA

One of the youngest water parks on the list, Xocomil is the largest
water park in Central America. Open only from Thursday to Sunday, the
park can offer numerous water slides, rides and attractions for children,
several restaurants and fast foods and – last but not least – the
beautiful Venezuelan weather.
OCEAN PARK WATER ADVENTURE, JAKARTA, INDONESIA

Located 20 minutes from south Jakarta, the Ocean Park water
Adventure is one of the most popular water parks in Indonesia.
With an amazing pirate-themed castle in the main pool, it is especially
suitable for families with children. The park also boasts a 4-D theatre,
rock climbing and bungee trampolines.
JUNGLE WATER ADVENTURE, BOGOR, INDONESIA

Situated on the Indonesian island of Java, the Jungle Water Adventure
is a large water park featuring many water slides, rides, pools, a lazy river,
an even a bird park. In 2013, the park saw a total visit of 880,000,
making it the 20th most visited water park in the world.
SUMMERLAND, TOKYO, JAPAN

Open for most of the year, Tokyo´s Summerland is the only Japanese
water park on the list. The park is packed with various water
attractions including giant slides, large wave pools, hot tubs, waterfalls
and a lazy river. Visitors can also try some of its outdoor activities
such as golf and tennis.
BEACH PARK, AQUIRAZ, BRAZIL

Spreading out across an area of 170,000 square meters (about 1.8
million sq. ft.), the Beach Park in Aquiraz is the largest water park in
South America. Apart from regular water attractions, the park also
offers additional amenities such as a sauna, sport courts, a
fitness centre, a wet bar and even a theatre.

Occupying over 5 hectares of land, the Atlantis Water Adventure in
Jakarta is a water park themed to the mythological underwater
world of Atlantis. With almost a million visitors each year, it is one of
the most popular water parks in the world and a major tourist
attraction of the country.
