TIPS ON HOW TO KEEP FIT
Added on: 16th Mar 2016
INTRODUCE YOURSELF TO CROSSFIT
CrossFit is an effective and evolutionary way to get fit. It’s been the
hottest thing in the fitness world for a few years now and the good
news is that anyone can do it. In case you never heard of it,
CrossFit is a fitness program that combines a wide variety of
functional movements in a timed or scored workout. It might be
intense but the results are impressive.
EAT SEVERAL TIMES A DAY
Many people still believe that skipping meals will help you lose weight.
It won’t. Instead of consuming two or three big meals, break these
up into five or six smaller meals. This will increase your
metabolism and help you digest easier.
BUT PICK YOUR MEALS WISELY
However, eating more meals each day doesn’t mean you can eat
whatever you want. Also what you eat before and after training
could make all the difference in your performance, as well as your
physique. Loading up with carbs a few hours before training will
give you an extra boost of energy, while eating a protein-rich meal
after will help you recover faster.
USE A KINECT
Instead of playing video games the traditional way-sitting on the
couch for hours and eating tons of junk food-buy a Kinect.
Whether you play tennis, box against heavyweight champion
Wladimir Klitschko, or fight legends such as Scorpion and
Sub-Zero in Mortal Combat, you’ll be getting a workout without
feeling like you’re actually doing so.
DRESS WELL WHEN YOU GO TO THE GYM
One of the reasons you’re working out is to look good, so why not
look good while doing it? After all, it will most likely motivate you
to work out harder in order to fit into your clothes better
in the near future.
PICK A SPORT YOU LIKE AND PRACTICE IT
If you find activities such as jogging or lifting boring and you’re the
type of person who likes action instead of a strict programs then
pick a sport you like and practice it at least three times a week.
You will most likely make new friends and improve your health
and physique in the process.
FIND A TRAINING BUDDY
Having a training buddy who shares the same passion and has
similar goals as you will keep you motivated and help you reach
your goal. They may even be a source of some fun
competition to give you that extra push.
MAKE YOUR HOME A FITTER PLACE
To help you flex your muscles more often, leave a set of dumbbells
near your microwave and do curls while heating up dinner.
Put a yoga mat next to the bed so you can do downward dogs
when you get up or at bedtime. Hang a resistance band on the
bathroom doorknob and strength-train while the tub fills up.
Or use a stability ball as a desk chair to engage your core
when paying bills.
