Artist Michael Green put up a GIF inspired by the “Balloon Dog
(Orange)” piece which was the most expensive work ever
sold by a living artist at auction ($58 million). Michael’s GIF,
however, only sold for a little over $200.
ARENA FOOTBALL TEAM
The Indiana Firebirds arena football team was auctioned
off for nearly $4 million.
HAUNTED RUBBER DUCK
This rubber ducky supposedly made the owner’s child act
possessed and “throw the duck as far away from him as he
could whenever he got the chance”. It sold for just over $100.
PARTIALLY EATEN GRILLED CHEESE
This 10 year old partially eaten sandwich supposedly had an
image of the Virgin Mary engraved on it. It sold for $28,000.
FOREHEAD ADVERTISING
Not just any advertising…permanent advertising. Utah
resident Kari Smith sold her forehead for $10,000 as an
advertising spot. GoldenPalace.com took her up on the offer.
And now she has their web address permanently
tattooed on her face.
THE MEANING OF LIFE
In 2000 a North Carolina resident put up the “meaning of life” for
auction. His description stated ““I have discovered the reason
for existence, and will be happy to share this information with
the highest bidder.” It sold for $3.26.
A LIVER
A man from Florida was selling his liver for $5.7 million before
eBay ended the auction.

After Ian Usher’s wife left him he put up his entire life for sale.
It went for $300,000, Ian ended up traveling the world and
eventually he wrote a book called “A Life Sold”.
Disney even wants to turn it into a movie.
