GREAT THEME PARKS
Added on: 4th May 2015
DIVO OSTROV (WONDER ISLAND),
ST. PETERSBURG, RUSSIA
With some of the most terrifying rides in the eastern hemisphere,
this park just outside of St Petersburg, Russia, doesn’t have the
best safety track record either. Apparently it’s meant to be
family friendly though.
WORLD JOYLAND, CHANGZHOU, CHINA
Not really concerning themselves with copyright laws, this
amusement park features numerous rides ripped off from popular
video games like World of Warcraft.
This family friendly theme park in Colombia gives visitors a chance to
hang out with exotic animals and visit its museum. In order to get
there though you have to pass under the gate seen above and that
plane on top isn’t just any plane. It’s the same plane Pablo Escobar
used to bring his first load of cocaine to the United States.
Although Dolly Parton was more known for her singing than anything
else the Tennessee theme park that bears her name is known for its
fast and furious rides.
I©GYVENIMO DRAMA, LITHUANIA
Little more than a bunker in the woods, this “theme park” is staffed
by former members of the soviet army and is intended to give
visitors an idea of what life would have been like for citizens in the USSR.
THE CHILDREN’S REPUBLIC
Created in order to teach Argentinian youth about democracy
children can come here and do everything from elect their own
congress to acquire bank loans.
With over 60 rides based solely on the Hershey’s chocolate brand the
word on the street is that going there is a pretty sweet experience.
NAPOLEONLAND, MONTEREAU-FAULT-YONNE, FRANCE
Although it’s not scheduled to open until 2017 we venture to say that
there probably won’t be many height restrictions on the rides…
