WHAT NOT TO DO ON YOUR FIRST DATE
Added on: 29th Jul 2015
DO NOT FLIRT WITH OTHER PEOPLE
One of the most important things you should remember when you go
on a date is that you should give your date all of your attention. Don’t
insult your date by A.) not paying attention and B). Telling your date
someone else deserves your attention. That’s just rude.
DO NOT COMPLAIN ABOUT THE BILL
Not complaining about the bill is more about being discreet than being
pretentious. Be sure that you have enough money with you when you
go on a date so the bill doesn’t catch you by surprise.
DO NOT ASK ABOUT YOUR DATE’S EXES
There is a time and place for everything but your first date is not the
place to be asking about your date’s exes. These questions make
for a very uncomfortable first date.
DO NOT TALK ABOUT YOURSELF ENDLESSLY
It’s good to have confidence in who you are (a very attractive trait
by the way). Nevertheless, let your actions show your confidence.
When you endlessly talk about yourself you appear selfish, and
full of yourself.
DO NOT BABBLE
It is good to keep talking to avoid dead air when on a date, but make sure
that your date gets to have the chance to talk, too. At least once in a while,
take a breath so your date can talk about their interests as well.
DO NOT TELL YOUR DATE THAT YOU ARE IN LOVE
It is crazy to tell somebody that you love them on the first date. Even
if you believe in love at first sight, these are very powerful words
that carry a host of implications and expectations. Such words should
only be mentioned when the relationship is official.
DO NOT APPEAR TOO DESPERATE TO GIVE COMPLIMENTS
While giving your date compliments is a great thing to do, overdoing it
will make you appear like a liar. When you are on a date, try to be
as honest as you can, but never tactless.
DO NOT BE SHY
Try to get away from your shyness when you go on a date. Remember,
if your date has agreed to go out with you is because there is some
interest on their part. Be confident and enjoy yourself.
