This signal was a strong narrowband radio signal detected by

Ohio State University researchers on August 15, 1977.

The signal bore the hallmarks of non-terrestrial and

non-solar system origins.

NUMEROUS UFO SIGHTINGS

Reports of flying objects in the night (or day) sky are not a recent

phenomenon. From the third century BC there have been many accounts

indicating the appearance of strange objects in the sky. Recently, 

plane passengers of a West Asian Airline claimed to have witnessed a

disc-shaped object while flying over Iran, with the fast-moving object

not resembling a plane nor a helicopter.

EMPEROR THEODOSIUS REPORTEDLY HAD AN ALIEN

"EXPERIENCE"

A remarkable testimony of Alien existence is an account from Byzantine

Emperor Theodosius around 390 CE. The emperor described a brilliant

glowing orb in the sky with a great number of other glowing orbs drawing

near the larger one, almost as if they were being pulled in. Theodosius

claimed the spectacle to be like a swarm of bees flying around a beekeeper

until they blended together into one, becoming as bright to the eye as a

double-edged sword.

MARS CANALS

The idea that Mars was traversed by a complex network of canals was

first put forward in 1877 by Italian astronomer Giovanni Schiaparelli, and

later popularized by astronomer Percival Lowell. Lowell made intricate

drawings of what he took to be canals based on observations he made at

his observatory in Flagstaff, Arizona. The idea gained relatively wide

acceptance until the early twentieth century, when astronomical

observations improved and higher-resolution imaging revealed the

“canals” to be optical illusions and geologic formations.

RADIO SIGNALS

Scientists are trying to explain what is causing a series of mysterious

signals, known as Fast Radio Bursts, which are coming from beyond

the solar system. Could this be a transmission from an alien civilization?

CLOUDY LIFE ON VENUS

Scientists theorize that there might be life on Venus’s clouds.

In spite of Venus’s hot, acidic surface; 50 kilometres up the moist

atmosphere, conditions are a bit more hospitable with a temperature

of 70°C and a pressure similar to Earth’s.

MARTIAN METHANE

A team of NASA and university scientists has detected very high

amounts of methane in Mars’ atmosphere, which indicates that the

planet is still alive, in either a biologic or geologic sense.

NEAR AIR COLLISION

Stories of near-collisions involving a cigar-shaped UFO and commercial

airplanes are endless in number. Many pilots have reported that cigar

or rugby ball–shaped objects have passed within a few feet of their

planes’ cockpits. A recent incident involving one of Air China’s jets could

be more than conjecture. The plane was forced to make an emergency

landing after an unexplained occurrence ruined its cone. Was it a collision

with a flying disc that came out of nowhere? Some believe this to be the case.

HARSH ENVIRONMENTS

Evidence for the possibility of life outside our planet, could ironically be

found here on earth. Life can be found in the harshest of environments,

from the cold dark depths of our oceans to the aftermath of super-heated

volcanic lava. Scientists believe that if life could live within our planet’s

harsh extremes, then life could also live within similar extremes outside

our planet (say beneath the surface of Mars).
