HIGH-PAYING JOBS THAT APPEAR TO BE REALLY ENJOYABLE

VIDEOGAME DESIGNER
The gaming industry is at full swing and its progress has
surpassed that of many other industries in only a few years.
However, video games are terribly complex and there are
millions of lines of code that develop every aspect of the
game, from maps to characters. Behind these complicated
“miracles” are designers who spend their days working on
the little details you might not even notice while playing.
Don’t feel bad for them, though, because they get paid
better than you probably realize.
VIDEOGAME PLAYER
As we all know there are millions of avid gamers out there but
some of these players happen to be really good to the point
where they make a living from it. An elite video gamer who
participates in top tournaments with great success makes an
average £35,000 per year while the top 10 players in the world
make anything from £350,000 to over £700,000 annually.
Is this a job, you ask? Apparently so.
STAND-UP COMEDIAN
In stand-up comedy, the comedian usually recites a group of
humorous stories, jokes, and one-liners typically called a
monologue, routine, or act. Just as with professional athletes
and video gamers, stand-up comedians can make from a few
thousand pounds to £500,000 for basically doing their hobby.
For example, Jerry Seinfeld’s net worth is estimated to be
about £39 million. Not bad for a jokester.
TOY CREATOR
Toys are a necessity for children not just because they provide
entertainment, but because they can also provide excellent
learning experiences. What many people don’t realize,
however, is that there is no magical toy machine that pops out
new and amazing toys at regular intervals. Designing and
creating toys is a major process and there are some ordinary
(but talented) people behind this industry who are in charge
of this process. For an average toy creator the annual salary
can top millions.
EVENT PLANNER
The event planning industry includes events of all sizes from
the Olympics down to small weddings and business breakfast
meetings. So depending on how ambitious and capable you are,
the more money and glory you can get.
PARK RANGER
Being a park ranger might sound like an extremely boring job to
some, but for those who enjoy nature they can get a chance at
protecting and preserving national property while making
a very decent wage.
GRAPHIC DESIGNER
For those who might not know, a graphic designer is the type of
creative person who puts together images, typography, or
moving graphics to create a design. This individual creates
the images you see on your favourite print and online media
among other things. The average graphic designer in the
US today makes around $52,000 per year.
PROFESSIONAL ATHLETE
Even though their salaries can vary greatly (depending on the
sport and their popularity) a professional athlete can usually
make anything from £35,000 to over a million. Of course,
if your name is Tom Brady, Lebron James, Cristiano Ronaldo,
or Roger Federer then you can make £35,000 per week but
these are just a few of the rare exceptions.
