UNLESS YOU'RE GOING TO AN OFFICIAL CAMPGROUND,

MAKE SURE THAT AT LEAST ONE PERSON IN YOUR

GROUP HAS GONE CAMPING BEFORE.

IDEALLY THEY WERE A BOY SCOUT

Unless you're going to an official campground, make sure that at least one person in your group has gone camping before. Ideally they were a Boy Scout.

INSTEAD OF CARRYING 15 LITRES OF WATER,

JUST CARRY A SMALL WATER PURIFIER

Instead of carrying 15 liters of water, just carry a small water purifier

HAND SANITIZER IS QUITE USEFUL BEFORE EATING,

AFTER USING THE BATHROOM, ETC. IT CAN

ALSO HELP YOU REMOVE THINGS LIKE RESIN

FROM YOUR HANDS AND CLOTHES

Hand sanitizer is quite useful before eating, after using the bathroom, etc. It can also help you remove things like resin from your hands and clothes

IF YOU EVER FIND YOURSELF IN ONE OF THOSE

"MAN VS WILD" SITUATIONS…DON'T EAT SNOW!

YOUR BODY WILL BURN A LOT OF CALORIES

MELTING IT DOWN. MAKE SURE YOU MELT

IT BEFORE YOU DRINK IT

If you ever find yourself in one of those

THIS IS ANOTHER ONE THAT MIGHT SEEM OBVIOUS

BUT IT CAN BE QUITE A LIFE SAVER. IF YOU

EVER HAVE WET BOOTS, STUFF THEM WITH

SOMETHING OVERNIGHT (TOILET PAPER,

NEWSPAPER ETC.) THEY'LL BE A LOT

DRYER IN THE MORNING

This is another one that might seem obvious but it can be quite a life saver. If you ever have wet boots, stuff them with something overnight (toilet paper, newspaper, etc). They'll be a lot dryer in the morning.

A SHAMMY IS GREAT AS CAMPING TOWELS,

ESPECIALLY WHEN IT COMES TO DRYING OFF WET GEAR

ShamWow's are great as camping towels, especially when it comes to drying off wet gear.

WEAR WOOL INSTEAD OF COTTON. COTTON

TAKES TOO LONG TO DRY

Wear wool instead of cotton. Cotton takes too long to dry.

ALWAYS CHECK YOUR BOOTS BEFORE PUTTING

THEM ON IN THE MORNING. YOU NEVER KNOW

WHAT COULD HAVE CRAWLED INSIDE

DURING THE NIGHT

Always check your boots before putting them on in the morning. You never know what could have crawled inside during the night.
